So I decided to start chasing my high fuel consumption problem again and found ford factory plugs snd platinum plugs are close in pricing on ebay. So I bought the platinum (4prong) spark plugs. Anyone tryed them before and whats your thoughts on them?
also found stock bosch injectors on evilbay for $200 but i have a spare barra motor and could give those injectors a clean. but i found a injector rebuild kit for $20 (filter and o ring kit by the looks) are they hard to pull down and rebuild? if so i might just do that! my father inlaw is pretty good with engines and car parts so if its something that doesnt need special tools i think we should be ok.

I would stick with the factory plugs, as they are iridium plugs...

Platinum plugs seem better after a run around the block. Car runs really smoothly. Less fuel on the average L/100

Ok so I have a thought about where my fuels going. When the cars at 1 throttle position its using stuff all fuel on the instant L/100km. (Lean cruise ?)But as soon as the throttles touched it goes through the roof (20+l/100) at the slight throttle adjustment. So im thinking the fuel regulator is rooted and lean cruise is the only thing able to compensate for the added fuel? Its a common problem for extra fuel usage in the B series so I think im on the right track

that's normal.. put it full throttle and watch it go over 70 ltrs per 100 instant

I still believe theres a problem somewhere as anyone who complains about the same fuel consumption as me seems to find the problem and get it back to close to the standard amount of L/100

My BA drinks fuel and a bit of a rough idle, I was thinking fuel pressure regulator changeover at some stage might be a good place to go next!
