So I'm about to do a turbo conversion on my BA. Got everything off an xr6 turbo, yada yada yada but what I want to ask is, can I put in my Walbro 255 in tank fuel pump when I do the conversion until I get a custom tune for it (it will be running off the turbo ECU until then)? I have a turbo fuel pump with the conversion but I'd rather not have to swap pumps twice.
Thanks in advance. |

Fuel pump will cause no issues as long as you don't fit the Turbo Fuel Reg. That is what controls the pressure, not the pump. Any excess fuel will just return to the tank.

Hmm... so it sounds like I have to run the turbo reg and pump until I get a dyno tune for it which then I can use the walbro 255 pump? I also got 60lb injectors to use when it gets tuned. |

If you are installing the complete Turbo setup then using the reg will be fine. Sorry, I miss read your original post. You will need to tune the car asap after setting up the turbo anyway. |

That's ok, so I'll be able to throw in the 255 pump with the turbo kit, is that correct? I'm organising the tuning part currently; driving will be minimised in the mean time.
