Okay so I have a 94 xg falcon and I am trying to get it to corner a little better it has a lot of body roll
It currently has king spring superlows in the front and 2.5 inch blocks in the back I have done some research and found that it is possible to add a sway bar to the rear, Now I want to know how hard is it to install rear sway bars (has leafs sprigs) and what's involved Also any other mods that will help the handling keeping in mind I'm on a p platers budget and jobs that can be done over the weekend |

One of the problems of an aftermarket rear swaybar kit is that the anchoring system for attaching it to the diff axle tubes is the use of 'U' bolts.....these end up slipping out of position.....and you have to drill holes in the frame rails to attach the outer link mounts......you should use some pipe for anti-crush tubes inside the frame rails, and large diameter, heavy gauge washers .
Also, decent shockies help too.

gearbox-suspension-brake-driveline-f4/xh-xr8-suspension-t54544-20.html
should give you some ideas. A front rear setup 30mm/20mm works well.

XD sedans had rear sway bars, standard.....wagons and utes/vans didn't. XD's were the last leaf sprung sedans Ford made.

This is a link to the Whiteline site for the rear sway bar to suit the XD Ute.
http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_det ... umber=BFR4 The don't list a sway bar for the XF ute or the XG Ute. Ask the question first. |
