Is it a very time consuming job to replace these rubbers?

Apply some moly grease on the slipper pads inbetween the leaves......need to have the body on jack stands and let the diff hang....makes it easier to apply.

Thank you I can borrow stands next week. This has been a real bastard to run down, it only happens at over 90kph and rough surfaces don't make any difference. It is totally intermittent.

Couldn't get the stands so went to my local Bridgestone shop and they said it was a 4 hour job. Everyone else suggests an hour to an hour and a half. Is there something different about a wagon to make them think that?

An hour if all goes well...hour and a half with some difficulties.

On a recommendation I went to another Bridgestone branch - this one in Ashmore - discussed the job with them and they said no longer than an hour and a half max.
I waited and they did the job in 55 minutes. I got home and sent a polite email to Bridgestone head office telling them what I thought of their Nerang branch. I'm sure it won't do any good but I feel better for having sent it. Cjh you were spot on with your time estimate. 50 years ago I would have done the job myself but these days I'm not keen on climbing under cars any more.
