Hey Guys not sure if I posted in the right section but...

I have a set of 20's for my BA XR6T Ute and was wondering what is the minimum tyre load rating for my car... tyres need to be 245/30/r20

I've been told to run 97 but Bob Jane assured me today that 93 is fine but I don't believe them always as they probably care more about making some coin than my life

Any help will be much appreciated

Alex

Look at the tyre placard....may be on the driver's door ???....all the info will be on there as to load rating of tyres required......you need to also make sure of the load rating for the rims/mags too.

Eh?.....it's actually a legal requirement by ADR's.......?????
Back in XC days, they were in the glove box on the lid.....most cars were then.
I think it was when the XD came out that they went to the lower drivers door.....are you sure it's not there ?????.....has the car been resprayed ????

I think the car was in a prang before I bought it but I was also told in the glovebox but no to be found and tyre placard wouldn't list 20's anyways

Ok so to update

I found the max gvm for a ba xr6t ute is 2370kg
Or an average of 592.5kg per tyre

Bob Janes tyre load rating shows the following

89 - 580kg
90 - 600kg
91 - 615kg
92 - 630kg
93 - 650kg
94 - 670kg
95 - 690kg
96 - 710kg
97 - 730kg

Am I right to assume anything 93 or above should be ok?

The tyres I am currently looking at are
Achhillies ATR - 93
Carbon CS88 - 95
Landsail - 97

All are W speed rated

Can anyone recommend tyres that are decent I don't really care too much about noise but I do care about grip.. I currently run achhillies tyres in my stock 17s and don't mind them but the load rating is 97 and for there 20's version only 93...

Thanks in advance
