Hi guys
I’m wondering if anyone has a FG falcon and the current RWD Territory on a ramp together or has the ability to cross reference the parts for the front suspension as I’d like to build and FG RTV.
I currently have a FG Turbo Limited edition with all the bits and pieces but clearance is an issue but love the Ute, I’m hoping that the front suspension from the territory will go to the Ute given the build similarities and I’d us the spring blocks from the earlier RTV, has anyone got any thoughts on this?
Cheers
Darren

Hi
I’m familiar with both suspension systems just haven’t had the opportunity to cross reference them with the original ford parts to compare with what is the same (if anything ) or nothing at all, does anyone have access to this? Or have a the parts pages available to check
Cheers

Not sure if newer model territory has the same suspension parts. I know FG went to that virtual link setup & original territory had that horrible ball joint issue due to geometry iirc

From SY2 Territory onwards the whole front upright/knuckle and both lower arms were redesigned to place the lower ball joint in compression rather than in tension as it was in the original SX/SY models.

None of the Territory front suspensions share any components with FG, even though Ford call them both virtual pivot designs. The Territory front suspension crossmember is designed to mate to B-series chassis rails, and can be fitted to them. A guy on FordForums has an AWD BF wagon which is pretty neat. As far as I know the FG rails and whole front structure is very different.

An FG RTV build would be great though, I just don't think the Territory will be the easy donor your hoping for.

hi Raptor
Thanks for that, I was hoping that a common floor pan was used making the front end interchangeable, I was hoping someone has access to the ford parts list for a cross reference, just to confirm the idea
Thanks again
