what's to say that the same thing wont happen to the second hand gearbox if it hasnt been rebuilt before though?....ive got 3 mates who own EB-ED and each of them has replaced their gearbox at about 200,000 k'z because the tranny dies on its a*** allowing it to shift into only 2 gears (similar to limp mode). And 2 of them have now got their second tranny rebuilt instead of finding another second hand one which is more than likely going to die again.
Mines had this problem for about 6 months now, cars been driven with 1st and 3rd for a while now im just waiting for the mechanic to come back from overseas who has a rebuilt tranny ready to be put in
