Hey guys quick question I've just bought an EB falcon for parts and the new battery is apparently completely dead 100% so the buyers suggested I bring a spare "just incase" (I've arranged a permit to drive the car back).

I'm assuming once I jump start the car it will be safe to drive home unless I turn it off?? but will the car cut out while driving or anything like that? I have to pick it up at night as well so i'll need headlights etc.

cheers

If the alternator is good, the battery will maintain its charge, and you will be fine to turn it off and restart like normal. If the alternator is stuffed, eventually the battery will discharge even while you are driving, and the car will stutter to a stop.

Depends on how f**k the battery is.
Ask xcabbi about the fun we had when I picked up a car down his way that had a rooted battery.

More people paid for a ride in a VT commodore then an AU Falcon so the VT is superior.
Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!
