I have a EF.
When cold it feels as if it hits a wall at 3 and a half k revs. Its like a splutter till it shifts to the next gear. This only happens on Petrol not LPG. Running Xr6 Plugs that people suggested work better for Lpg's Fuel filter has been changed, Made no difference. Been running BP ultimate fuel for the past month and this situation hasnt gotten any better. Injector cleaner as been ran through it. Once the car has warmed up it will freely rev over that. But sometimes it will show symptoms of it even when warmed just not as bad. Previous owners seemed to mainly run LPG. Which I dont. Suggestions would be appreciated. |

As it happens at a fairly specific rev range it sounds to me like coil pack or leads breakdown. Fairly common issue with the EFs

Does anyone have a Link to a Bosch Aftermarket Fuel Pump?
Searching only yields cheaper fuel pumps for around 60 dollars. I thought they were spose to around 150-200? |

The fuel filter could be blocked full of sh!t from in your tank, or particals if your old fuel pump was on its way out. Or from running the tank low. For the sake for $12 just replace it again and have that piece of mind.

+1 fuel-related. Had a similar problem with my son-in-law's EL 'mont. Had been run mainly on LPG but ran rough and wouldn't rev out when he started using petrol. Turned out the injectors had gummed up or partly seized. I would either get them professionally serviced or do it myself. You can get kits from Mr Injector out of the US for cheap, and there are videos on Youtube of how to do it.
Alternatively, upgrade to AU injectors. Used AU injectors should be reasonably cheap. Just make sure they haven't been sitting on a shelf for months, or they could be stuck. Ideally, you want them out of a car that has been running fine in the last few weeks.
