Hi,
I have an AU 5L. I unscrewed the oil filler cap and noticed a hissing sound. Upon further checks, I found that it was suction and not blow (phew). Is this normal? If not, what can cause it. Also the tee of from the filler neck is connected to my Gas Converter for vacuum. Is this also correct? Thanks, |

I'd say your PCV valve is stuck open.
Crimp the hose from the valve to the inlet manifold, if the valve is indeed stuck open the suction should disappear. |

it should have some vacuum at idle, as the pvc will be open with manifold vacuum sucking oil vapours from the crank case..

Hi,
Thanks for the replies so far. I have tried to locate the PCV valve and was not succesful. Any hints as to where it could be hiding? Regards, |
