Ute jump starts right away but will go flat every couple of days, sometimes every day.
Is my alternator gone? |

Get the battery checked out first.
Anything you put in or done recently that you can possibly narrow down too ?

I put a multimeter on the cable at the back and it showed 17.3 volts so the regulator is gone in it, so just need to find a good wreckers in Geelong area to buy a replacement.

Cable at the back??? And youll probly be up for a new battery also unless its a deep cycle one, They dont like going flat, But, good job on finding the issue,

17v would have boiled the battery. That is a very high reading.
Should measure around 13 to14.5v when you test the battery terminals when its running.
