Hey guys ive got a new fg and its got the typical bolt on upgrades, going into the headwork now. My uncle will be doing the work, he has never done a xr6 before, (v8 builder) so im just posting this to ask for the typical amount to shave, looking at about 0.020" off, will port, new valves, springs and looking at stage 2 atomic cams. Please comment your opinions on cams and shaving, thanks

Im just posting what i heard, the atomic cams arnt that big/good. Ive read alot of dissapointment about them, but thats all i can help you with, and as i said thats just what i heard so if someone wants to correct me, please do so. Cheers.

Atomic know what they are doing, I did see a thread where someone put a stage 4 cam in the FG XR6 and didn't pull very good numbers, turns out it was a stage 4 cam for a FG Turbo. They have a NA BF XR6 pulling ~240rwkw.

Ive been down with the local guy at prodyno here, he gave me the lowdown on what I need and want, will be sending me the list and prices. Looking at stage 4 atomic, twin 2.5 inch exhaust, stall converter and all bolt ons... with the auto box tune and engine tune should be pushing 270-300 horses.
