when first accelerating there is sometimes a clung engine side. this only usually happens if im either at a stand still or going very slow. also switching from drive to reverse is quite delayed and the car jolts... im not sure if this is normal for an xr or not =/

the delay to reverse is normal, some "safety" feature ford call it, mine does the same when its hot and i have been reading a thread on AFF where many other ppl have said the same thing. Also check your rear centre diff bush, they go easily and sounds like this clunk you are talking about. Mine is gone at the moment and you can hear/feel it when i take off some times, it sounds like its from the engine but i think thats just the sound/feel travelling through the chassis

the clunk feels like it comes from infront of me. as for the rear diff bush im quite sure mines been recently replaced before i bought the car. i was talking to my uncle and he said its normal for the rear bush to make a knock sound when giving it some.

yes most b series come standard with added driveline clunk for no extra cost. coming from the front sounds like engine mounts though they usually make noise under sudden full power and/or sudden de-acceleration from high revs.could also be gearbox mounts. either way i wouldn't be happy. how many kms ?
