I'm told by a mechanic that you can't swap out the single legger centre for a lower ratio LSD.
What the....?

grab a EB2 [even ED altho not sure re brakes] diff as you can then use lata model parts in it ie have a EB2 3.27 single spinner but the LSD diffs i have are the earlier EA/EB1 versions & wont fit the EB2 - but i was told by local diff joint that the AU LSD will fit the 3.27

i presume the EA/EB1 are 25 spline & EB2 are 28??

if ya REALLY adventurous you could fit a lata EF/EL altho i'm not sure on diff width

All E series diffs are the same width. You can fit up and EF/EL diff, all you need to do is either modify the handbrake or change over the brake assemblies to the EF/EL Diff

So you can replace the whole diff. But not just change a centre.
I imagine if I have to hange a whole diff it will be for something special.
Had been hoping for a quick fix.

Changing a complete diff is a lot easier than changing a centre.
