Ive got a brand newie, this morning I started it and it sounded like it had a miss and started to get really lumpy, thinking it was just a coil and had to get to work I started driving. Then the engine light came on and "dcs fault" apoeared on the dash. This (correct me if wrong) is driver stabilty control, to my knowledge there are heaps if sensors everywhere for this system.... but to make it run rough in idle ? Could it be faulty cam sensor ? Or something like that PLEASE HELP

If it's new and still under warranty, just take it back to Ford and have them fix it.

I suppose that voids warranty? This is the reason for waiting until the warranty period has run out before changing sh*t.

DSC = dynamic stabilty control,
would advice to have scan done by Ford for codes etc. there may also be an update for the system ???

default is on when turning ignition on,warning light should flash when system is activating ie.wheel spin etc.operates by cutting power to engine and applying brake slightly,missfire is probably due to system fault reducing engine power ,try turning off with switch on dash if possible and check missfire,check connections to ABS and ECU-check tyres are correct air pressure etc.

Yeah its been at ford for a few days now, first it was my 20inch rims setting off sensors, than I pinched a wire, now I broke a sensor. But in reality to me I worked on the car a week ago, it ran fine all week. And theyve traced all wires and replaced sensors, still puts up codes.
From memory its overfueling, intake cam side (something wrong with the readings)

They say theyve been in contact with ford and had done all tests with no conclusion. They seem to think ive put a chip in ut ir tuned it. Ill keep this forum up to date with the progress.

post what codes they have come up with ?
did the check engine light also come on when dsc came on ?
20 in rims = drop standard rims on and recheck ......or reprogram wheel size
sensors would be checked with live data on IDS do they read correct or not ?

The car runs perfect for 5 seconds, than it slowly starts a lump and begins to get really bad. Dsc comes on followed by check engine light. Than after a minute the car turns off. At first I herd the lump I was outside the car and thought I dropped a coil (was what it sounded like). Ford has checked everything, replaced all sensors in the dsc system and checked all wiring. Nothing faulty in those areas, yet it still throws up same codes, (ill check which ones thisarv). All diagnostics sent to ford now but its been 4 days no reply....
