SO...

I stripped out a EF XR8.. and was borderline blowing chunks thinking I had acquired a full V8 manual conversion for cheap..

Untill I discovered it had been bush mechaniced and they had put a 6cyl box back in it at some stage of attempted repair...

Anyhow the bellhousing was missing the clutch fork, and the end in the box that it attaches to has been flogged badly...

Also can anyone specify from the part number what model it is off? Just wondering if it is the original..

I can't help you with what it's off but it looks reasonably repairable to me.

I guess if that's a sheared bolt, you should be able to lightly centrepop it, drill it, and use an Ezyout to withdraw it.

It looks as though the bolt has snapped and the end rattling in there has smashed down the stub.

Anyone have a housing laying around they could measure off to see how much mine is worn down?

Need to know what to build it back up to...

At least in the I6 boxes, that screw is replacable - and acts as the retainer for the clutch fork. I believe that there is also a shim/washer there, but that was 4 years ago now and I cant remember for sure.

Perhaps go into ford and ask to look at an V8 bellhousing, and see if the ford guys can show you a picture
