When i convert my EL to manual using a T5 i am looking into convert it from cable to hydraulic, using a master cylinder mounted to the pedal box with a remote reservoir or just a trailer brake master cylinder if it will work as its half the price just wont look as neat but that doesn't bother me. from allot of research iv found the CNC 305-B Slave Cylinder is the way to go which works out to be about $70, it will be bolted to bell housing and on a threaded rod onto the clutch fork for adjustment.
For a master Cylinder i'm looking to use a Wilwood Girling. to plumb the two cylinders i will more than likely use copper pipe as it doesn't corrode and wont expand under pressure like rubber hose will and can get the fittings on it allot better with flaring the ends. From research the t5 fork has a stroke length of 1.25" my only problem is finding the force the clutch i i will be using a Exedy Standard. if the cylinders can handle it. Now i know depending where you attach the master cylinder to the pedal etc will vary in Pressure over stoke length so im thinking have it about 3/4 the way down so i dont have to have the seat all the way in short legs crisis The CNC 305-B Specs are: Bore: 7/8" Stroke Length: 1.25" The Wilwood Girling Specs are: Bore: 3/4" Stroke Length: 1 1/2" Also forgot im using factory pedal box. so using this set up do i need a return spring on clutch fork? if so does anyone know of one i can get one that has right spring rate |
