What "people" tell you this? Do they have a clue?

Falcons run extremely rich. XR6's gain power by switching to a stock reg. Do not fit the XR6 reg to a standard car unless you have checked it with a Wideband and it needs more fuel.

Hi all, just want to know.. is this guy serious about xr6s gain power by switching to standard reg?

Ive noticed my el six is running abit rich.. blows abit of black smoke and plugs are a little wet.. also has a temporary lag at cold which lasts about 2 secs (like it has a flat spot) which im assuming is excessive over fuelling.

Want to know if any gain can be made by switching to a 270kpa reg?

Timing is all correct and advaned 2 degrees.

O2 sensor is 3 weeks old,

No vac leaks, and map is fine,

So im thinking my 300kpa reg has packed it in,

I didnt want to start a new thread for this.. ive read that narrowband afr guages jump around alot, but I want to know how bad they are? If I install one will I be able to roughly work out how rich she really is running? Or do they just jump from "rich" to "lean" etc?

I plan on getting wideband eventually, but cant justify spending that much at the moment lol.

Cheers everyone for their help and input! Greatly appreciated! :)
