Hi everyone, I need to replace my ball joints but I dont have time to take the ones off my car for half a day so someone can press the ball joints out and in, due to work..

So im wondering if ALL steering knuckles are the same EF thru to EL, abs, non abs etc? Can I just buy any EF EL steering knuckle and it will fit into my EL XR6? This way I can take the 2nd set of knuckles to pedders or someone in the morning on my way to work, they can do their job and ill pick it up in the arvo, or on lunch break.. then just swap the steering knuckles over one night.. thanks everyone!

Kind regards, Tait.

Yes, except for the EL GT ones.

Or the NL FBT's for that matter too.

You'll need uprights with the casting for the ABS sensors.
You can use EB/ED ones with the same, but you'll need to have toe in adjusted as the castings are slightly different with the tie rod arm mounts.

And naturally with all of that regardless you need a wheel alignment - so worth doing the inner and outer tie rods while you're at it as well.

Ohkay thanks mate, already done tie rods and rack ends, but it will still need a wheel alignment after the job is done.. sadly ahah
