most older blinkers have a element that heats/cools to give you a blink effect. overtime these elements can weaken due to fatigue. might be time to change it.

i may be wrong though as i dont know if fords use a system like that. you could make a circuit with a 555 timer with Astable operating mode. then you could set how slow or fast you would want it.

In the fuse box under the steering column, there is a relay bank. I'm pretty sure it is labeled. Top left iirc.

replace flasher unit in fuse box near steering column - normally marked flasher - turn flashers on and you will hear it and be able to feel it - make sure new flasher has same markings for which terminal is which as there are several different types ...........

This is a long shot. But in case changing the relay doesn't work, you may have a short, which can take a lot of time to find. Like I said, a long shot, but in most cases the new relay should fix it.

Yet just wating for one to come in I'm going to Chang all the bulbs as well as if there the worng ones it could cause it to I found out
