just got my btr auto rebuild and want to keep it cool when i am towing and giving it a bit of a hiding at the race track (it has a au pump and some au internals to make it a little stronger than stock ba turbo ones ) have bought one trans cooler of e bay and thinking of getting another one ,so i can fit two in a row .was thinking of under my aluminium tray . just do not know if there is enough air flow ? i have also bought heat wrap for the exhaust and making a heat shield for the exhaust as well .and maybe a air supply with some pipes .also going to fit a temp gauge and temp switch for fans (ute has approximately 330 +rwkw ) thanks for any advise

thats a decent sized cooler
hard to tell but does it have a fan on it? if soo cool if nit get one as there not much airflow there not sure if u need another 1, i had a standard e series cooler on my au and that copped a flogging with no issues make sure u bypass the radiator cooler!

its got a 10 inch fan on it .the auto just got a standard stall so it does not produce that much heat .but for another $140 i might just get one extra . was going to bypass the radiator

looking at the pic, im guessing the fan is going to blow through the cooler up against the tray??
I would have it tilted down at the front with the fan drawing air through the cooler towards the ground.. a debatable subject I guess? |
