Hey, might be picking up a 98 LXI Laser for the wife as a runaround. are there any known issues I need to look for/be aware of?

Gear shift bushes on the manuals are a usual thing for them.
When doing a cam belt, you have to remove the rocker cover to get at the belt, and you need to hold the cams still with a metal plate.....fits into grooves at the backs of the cams....IIRC.

Much appreciated. went and had a look at it yesterday, and seems to be in good shape, but just wanted to check before we go back and take it for a run.

Upper plates on the shockies, the rubber perishers and cracks out.....it's an age n miles thing.
