Will a T5 from an e series falcon bolt up to a 250 x-flow in an xf? I.E. bell housing. I want to put a T5 into my XF ute and can get a T5 out of an e series cheap but need to know if it will bolt up or not.

Damn. Is it just a case of changing a bell housing?

you can use the bellhousing from the 250 crossflow. 3 of the holes line up then drill n tap the fourth hole .by memory I think you need a gearbox mount from a xg. been a loooong time since I did one

I had an EL T5 in my XF with the XF T5 bell housing.

Any T5 will bolt up. The only things that change on a T5 are input/output shaft length, number of splines, and shifter location.

you don't have to change anything on the t5. if the XF was already manual it will be a strait bolt up once the 4th hole is done on the bell-housing . the splines input/output shaft are all the same. you can still use the original tail-shaft out of the XF

Sorry, I meant in general, and worldwide Ford T5's
All the different configurations of T5 used in any Ford worldwide, the gear case remains the same and will bolt up to any other T5 bell housing.

I thought the big hole in the single-rail bell housing needed to be machined a bit larger to fit the T5 input bearing retainer. Handy to know if that's not the case.

all good .the t5 in the e-series will fit in the old bell-housing behind the 4.1l motor. I believe the mustang t5 is slightly bigger.
