Hi guys,
I have an EL 5.0 windsor (efi) in a 66 mustang. I have transplanted the whole lot - and the ecu, aircon, thermofan control etc are all as Ford intended. When I am driving along, temp sits beautifully on 192f - almost the exact opening of the thermostat. However, when I turn on the aircon - the temp drops down to 140 Now 2 questions - Is 140 too cold for the old girl ? How can I be running below my thermostat opening temp ? Cheers Dave |

Sorry - should have said ...
First thing I did was change the thermostat for a new genuine ford one. Same behavior... Cheers Dave |

Possibly an earth fault somewhere affecting the guage?

Great idea matt.
The gauge is a separate powered one. I'll have to run a temp gun on it. Cheers |
