Hi guys,

wanting to replace my dizzy with a new one
but when I pulled the dizzy out of a spare hybrid EL xr engine i noticed the oil pump drive shaft is 6 sided.. like a impact socket, and in the bottom of the dizzy where it sits is also 6 sided like a impact socket.
But I couldve almost sworn when I built my eng it had a 4 sided (square) shaft, I thought were the same EA-AU? Or atleast EF-AU,

Is it possible ford changed them at all? Just looking for some cirtainty on whether i am on drugs or the one in my eng is 6 sided too.. dont wanna go pulling it appart to replace to find out I have the wrong bits,

and I know I have to change the gears to keep them matching,

will a dizzy with a 6 sided bottom fit if my eng does have the 4 sided shaft? I assume it will..hope..

there all 6 sided hex shafts. none were square...
