I did a quick search on the forums and didn't really find anything and this isn't technically an interior modification, but I didn't know where else to post it...
Has anyone here with a BA/BF got a really squeaky driver’s seat? Particularly under braking and acceleration? It's driving me nuts and ford want something like $500 for a replacement seat frame. If anyone has experienced this, did you have any luck numbing, or even better, silencing it?

Your seat base is not broken is it ? Very common on B series.
My passenger seat used to squeak. Took it to Ford and they sprayed something under it and fixed it. It does however move back and forth a tad when braking and accelerating which is annoying.

I had one seat that squeaked and sagged because it was missing a steel strap (supports lower cushion) I just sprayed lanox up from behind the seat to kill the squeak. Bought a leather interior and it squeaked where the vinyl sides rub on the plastic trim on the base adjust. I put sticky back felt on the plastic to fix that.

Other than the squeak, the seat feels fine. blueblood wrote: I had one seat that squeaked and sagged because it was missing a steel strap (supports lower cushion) I just sprayed lanox up from behind the seat to kill the squeak. Nah, it's not that kind of squeak and there's no sagging, it's definitely metal on metal. I've had an interior mob take a look at it and they couldn't see anyhing, however that was with the seat in situ, their explanation was that the metal develops micro cracks over time and that's what is squeaking, perhaps I should just take the seat out myself and have a look. Thanks for the replies guys

I tried something a little different, I changed my driving position (something a little more racy) and the problem has pretty much disappeared, odd...
