Hey mate I had the same problem had to replace mine last week.

What a pain in the a*** of a job it is, but it can be done without taking the turbo or engine mount off. It is pritty straight forward taking the old one off and putting the new one in. The hard part is trying to put the arm back on, what I did was loosen the actuator bracket I actually took 2 bolts out planning on taking the whole bracket off but it is just too hard to get to the last bolt so I loosened it about half way (took ages just to do that) then I was able to get the arm back on that way. The hard part is trying to hold the wastegate flap closed while you try and get the arm in the right spot. What I ended up having to do was sit on top of the motor and reach in down behind the turbo to hold the flap closed and with your other hand in front of the turbo (I think it was there but somewhere were you can move the arm, its real hard to get at it) try and line up the arm with the flap you have to go by feel as you have no hope of seeing what you are doing, and forget about trying to put the little C clip thing back on that holds the arm in place I had no hope I just ended up using an R clip works well.

Obviously there is more to it but that's the hardest bit you will have to get under the car to get to some bolts and take all the pipes and shielding off.

sounds like you have it sused, had alook at it today on a hoist so hard to even get at top mounting nut, still have all my heat guards on, so carnt really see much, could you get to the c clip from the top with the guards off? and what was the benfits of loosing that bracket?cheers

Nah had to get to the c clip from underneath the car with a screw driver and just popped it off. The benefit of loosing the bracket was that it gives you more movement with the arm of the actuator so it is alot easier to get the whole over the pin.
