Hey guys,
I've searched for about an hour and haven't found anything helpful for the problem i'm having with my wheel to inner guard clearance. My ED currently has standard 15inch alloys, 205/65r15 tyres, and is lowered to the same height as my last EB with superlow kingsprings, with the same whiteline 30mm adjustable swaybar. Differences being i'm using bilstein instead of koni, and the old car ran 225 tyres on the same 15in wheels. .... I've rolled the guards and still rub tyres on the plastic inner guard on a moderately hard turn, my last car would only do this while hitting a bump mid corner. These are height adjustable shocks, and the spring seat is set at the height of the standard ones. Any ideas? The inner lining is not hanging down, it's in factory position in good cond. Before I go and raise the spring seat, i'd like to see if any of you have had this issue with standard size wheels and tyres on a lowered car, seems strange to me. Thanks guys, Mick.

Measuring centre of hub to bottom of guard, I measure 335mm.
Can somebody standing next to their car take this measurement, and tell me what springs they're running?

As you've been told on Facebook already, your car is bent. They don't scrub inner guards unless something is is way out of whack.

My last one hit guards on big hits, Nelson from sydney guard rolling does e series all the time for chewed guards..... not after a blow off, after somebodys actual experience/measurement, thanks.
EDIT: Not sure if it's being understood, the car isnt sitting on the guards, it rubs on hard cornering. EDIT take 2: I'd set the lower spring mount up incorrectly, hope this helps anybody else with a seemingly strange issue. As for bent, thanks for letting me know that was also a possibility, but saying it was that and only that, didn't really help at all.

Yea, outer tyre, only when turning in hard. Where my last car needed a decent bump on a hard turn to contact the guard.
Just edited my last post, i'd set the height adjustment on the shock up incorrectly. My last EB was the exact same setup, except shock branding, and comparing photographs to my current car show the front a fair bit lower than the last one. I did some digging around and it turns out my shocks have 3 adjustments in them, and I'm one off the correct height. I asked this on facebook and got told my car was bent.

Have you had a wheel alignment?

Had Doug from Bilstein/Heasmans do an alignment yesterday, the car's spot on. If only my shock setting up was too!

im thinking your castor rod bushes are worn allowing the wheel to move back while under load/ braking.
