Hi folks,
Since I swapped the passanger side loom on my Xr6T for a BF fairmont one, if I arm my alarm, exactly 15 minutes later it will go off. Everything is working perfectly, fuel pump, stereo, CDL, windows, mirrors etc are all perfect. I suspect that when the alarm was fitted, someone put a diode in somewhere to stop whatever is happening 15 minutes after lockup from feeding back to the alarm, but I can't find a diode in the old loom and it would help if I knew what it was feeding back in. (could it be something related to the fact that the passanger side now has a side airbag module inside the middle pillar?) any thoughts? (no obd errors to tell me what is going on either.) regards Frank |

ok, not a lot of suggestions from that so in the end I worked it out by process of elimination. Putting this here in case someone else has the same issue and looks for the answer on fordmods.
luckly I started at the boot (took the boot light globe out) and it didn't go off any more. I was planning to unplug the doors one at a time after that to make sure I didn't pinch a wire or damage a plug when putting the new BF loom in. All good now. So checked the boot light wire on the old loom and sure enough there was a diode on the green wire. It was under heatshrink and well done enough that it looked factory which was why I didn't notice it. So there you go.. if your alarm goes off in your BA or BF falcon 15 minutes after arming, put a diode the green wire that runs to the boot light and you should be good to go.
