i want to start to get rid of a few things that i dont need anymore & one of those things is a 351 Cleveland that came with one of the cars i stripped for parts, the engine is complete minus a carby that the previous owner kept.

i need a little more info on it so i can get a fair price from selling the engine to try to top up my 'build' account that has taken a hit.

If you were wanting to know weather that 351 your wanting to sell is a 2v or a 4v, a couple of ways to find out what it is is to pull a rocker cover off and see if there's any casting numbers that say 2v or 4v as there may be castings stating this on the heads. Or, pull the inlet manifold off and take one of the old manifold gaskets into a place like autobarn or supercheap auto and ask to see if they can bring you both 2v and 4v manifold gaskets and compare them to yours then you'll know weather the clevo's got 2v or a 4v heads. Check and see if it's actually a 351 aswell. Best way is to either check the engine number with your local vehicle registry, or check the block to see if 351 or 302 is cast into it, or,,, pull the sump off and check the crank as the engines cubidge will be written on the crank somewhere. if that motor hasn't been stuffed with ever, then having red rocker covers means it's probly a 302 as pre xd 351's had the rocker covers in the same colour blue as the motor. Xd and xe 351's and 302's both had silver rocker covers and air cleaner from factory. If it's out of any xd xe equivelant, chances are that it'll have 2v heads as I've never heard of clevo's in xd's and e's having 4v's from the factory but I mite be wrong. If it's a pre xd engine it mite have 4vs. So definitely check everything so that you know what your actually selling :-) hope all that helps mate.

It's a 4 barrel intake but the engine is a 2V. Basically from late '74 up, all engines are 2V port sized.
