I have an AU on petrol.

As of late my AU3 has been intermittently running like crap.
When you accelerate normally it starts to shudder and chug.

If you put you foot down its fine, there a tiny of lag and stuttering while to get up to speed.
The hotter the car gets the worse it gets.
Not all the time but most of the time some times it will run fine.

I have changed my plugs, and leads.
I noticed a little bit of improvement.

I still have issues.

I bought a Spark tester.
Leads / plug 1 - 4 tested fine.
Leads / plugs 5 & 6 have very very weak spark, the contacts almost touch on the spark tester.
Some times Leads / plugs has no spark at all.

do you think it is the coil pack?
I was wondering what is the best brand of coil pack?

Any coil pack will be fine.
If you want to spend a bit more (and wait for it to arrive from the states) on a performance option, look up screamin demon coil pack.

Get a good quality branded coil pack. Not all are the same, as theu say. "oils ain't oils".

VDO or Bosch are recommended. If I remember right VDO or Bosch are Original Equipment.

If you want a demon part number is 31737, this is the direct replacement number. I use the Accel coil (EF/AUI).

I can remember being burnt with a cheap distributor for my EB2....

Don't you need new leads with the demon packs?

31737 uses the same leads as the stock AUIII coil pack.

Can you buy them in Australia?
