Hey guys, whats the best way to change steel trans lines,
The person i brought the car off cut and joined the trans lines with high pressure hose behind the extractor, the rubber hose was taking too much heat it split and sprayed my engine bay with trans fluid. I don't want to replace the hose , i want steel lines, i have a set of I6 steel lines here, will they fit?, whats the best way to get them in? cheers guys. |

Normally youd look at removing the extractor, then swapping the lines over. You'll probably want the V8 lines or you'll need to do a little bending - there is a starter motor there than isnt on the i6, and the bellhousing is a little bigger. The Engine mounts are in slightly different places, and the transmission is slightly differently located so the length will be wrong.
EB to EL Lines should be fine. AU lines will probably work but dont quote me on that Nigel |
