hey guys,
just got a sub installed and omg boot rattle!!! lol

i went out and bought some stinger expert sound deadener and installed that on my boot, when you pop the boot it is on that part of the boot that you see when the boot is fully up.

it had stopped the rattling completely from the inside but there is still rattling from around the tailights.

any suggestions?

cheers

-Daniel

Tighten every screw, check the number plate ect.. I fixed all the rattles in my boot by using a combination of deading spray and sound shield material... Fixed the boot right up :)

As for the number plate i put a heap of silicone in the small indentaions across the back of the number plate and then let it dry completely, and screw it back on and that should atleast stop that from rattling.

With the tail lights just check and make sure all the screws are tightened up properly. Thats about he only thing you can do thier, give it a try and see how you go.

with mine, i bought some foam from a foam place and stuffed it in the ribs on the boot lid and put no more gaps along the welds. stopped every rattle, but boot lid is kinda heavy though now.

hmm havnt tried tightening every screw yet, might give that a go. But i used 'Space Invader' from Bunnings. Works pretty well, but i still get rattles :/
I might try the silicon idea with the number plate also. My mate used 'Space Invader' and tightened his boot lock a bit. Stopped the rattle completely.
