Hi All,

I've got some car audio gear that I'd like to setup in my garage. I know it will be easier and cheaper to buy a home theatre system, however I want a hobby to put it together etc etc..

I've googled and can't find detailed info. Most people say to either;

- Run it off a deepcycle battery and hook up a trickle charger
- Buy a 240v to 12v 40Amp Converter http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=MP3089 (however I don't think this would be enough to power 2 subs /monoblock amp and a 4channel amp)

I'd like to setup my:
2x C Class Kicker Subs (yellow and black rounded type)
zx300.1 Monoblock amp
4 Channel Kicker amp
Some 6" & Splits.
And obviously the head unit itself.

I'd like to steer away from running off a battery

Has anyone done something similar? What would be the best grounding for the amps & Head unit?

Cheers,
Ash
