Howdy Lads,

Is 8.5" the max width you can fit on the front of one of these vehicles?
I can get a 9" +12 offset that I was going try to space out enough to clear the upright but would it be pushed to far out to be useable?
This XH is fairly low too.

Cheers.

EL GT rims were 8.5" with +6 offset.

The +12 will clear the uprights ok, I have +10 x 8 with no issues.

You may get the 9" to fit but it will come down to the size tyre you use.

I am running 255 35 18 on the 9" rims on the rear, don't think I would like to try them on the front :D .

Thanks man,

I'm going to try the Rota GridR at 17x9 +12 front and 17x9.5 +12 for the rear on this XH. I may go with a spacer at the rear too depending where they sit.
I thought about 18's but you have to go with F version Grid for the front in 8.5" which is only available in +30,+38 or +44 which means a big a*** spacer and of course an uglier looking wheel compared to the R model.
Do you know what the Falcon hub centre bore is offhand SWC?

I believe that they are 70.6mm. Most aftermarket rims are now 73.1mm dia Hub hole. They usually supply plastic hub rings when you buy the rims.

I replaced mine with alloy hub rings.

Ok we tried the Grid 17x9 but we couldn't get it over the hub because the centre cap hole is smaller than the hub bore and of course Falcon hubs are very high. Going to try my old 17x8.5 ROH ZS which I believe are +6 and do some exact measurements as to what I can achieve.
Then maybe I'll machine the hub cap bore of the Rota's to match and get them painted in two pack after. Only prob is the actual hub will protrude from the hub bore and be visible :(
Might have to go with a Koya Drift Tek in a custom offset instead.
Plus I'm thinking of converting to big brakes with an AU(+36) offset which will open up more pissabolities.

Love ROH ZS wheels.
I've been looking for a set in 17x9.5 to make two staggered sets using my set of 17x8.5, but I've only been able to find them in the states through Group A Wheels, and the offset is only 35mm.

Yeah they are nice. I tried to get 9.5's some years ago and got the run around by ROH too. They couldn't explain why 9.5's are made here yet I couldn't buy them here!?
Ended up selling them off altogether to a mate of mine. He's the one who's going to let me try them for size. Actually it's his EB XR8 that has those wheels and I also did the 351w conversion on it using the engine outta my XE ute.
Another mate of mine got screwed over by them too with those 3 piece jobs. Basically took his money then didn't supply for months and told him flat out that they couldn't care less if they were ever supplied!?

Gee that puts a big downer on what I've always thought to be an awesome Australian company.

I was just about ready to pull the trigger on a set from the US, but the communication seemed lacking in effort and I just didn't feel right. Why is it so hard for Americans to answer simple questions.

Well MAD, I thought the same but they didn't impress me when i tried to deal with them. I suspect they were lying when they said they were made here too. One yank mob suggested they were making them in South Africa!? But China is more likely and frankly most yanks probably think South Africa is the same place as South Australia!?
Oh yeah they're often terrible to deal with. Ask em ten detailed questions requiring detailed answers and you'll get a response like; "No" wtf!?!?
I have to say the best dealings I've had with a U.S. company has been Hughes transmissions, when I bought that built 4R70w for the Rangie conversion. These guy's put every Aussie company I've delt with to shame too. they are 2nd to none!

The other is to answer the first and ignore the rest.
