Hey guys is it just me or does my EF future have no guts ? I just bought an ef Fairmont for the engine and it goes like my dads EF Fairmont Ghia (which has a Tickford head) My future feels like it has no go at all and it has been like that for the 10 years I have had it . When I drive my dads or this Fairmont I just bought , I hardly touch the throttle and they want to go . I can floor mine with no wheelspin . My car has 17 in tyres but dads car and this Fairmont just smoke the tyres if I floor them.

Do the Fairmonts have different engine computers ? Or is a standard Fairmont engine more powerful than a Futura ? :?

future and std Fairmont share the same engine. but from memory the Fairmont will have 3,23 diff ratio where the future has 3.08 so the Fairmont will feel a bit more lively than the futura..

Hello,

Did the Fairmont have a Tickford head then ? It will also have more weight to carry, but it may be a partially blocked Cat that is the difference between the 2 Cars.

Cat has not been changed since the car was purchased 10 years ago. How long do they last ?
