I want to put a el onwards six cylinder in to my xf ute. The catch is I want to keep the three speed manual gearbox. Has any one used this box in this conversion. Any help or input would be appreciated.

Don't know if the 3 sp would stand up too well.
Better off with a 5sp that's meant for it.

I prefer the 3 speed though. They are so simple.

youll need to re drill the 4 mounting holes on a 5 speed bellhousing and get a ring made up to account for the different diameters of the bearing retainers. and stuff around with the clutch cable (its on the opposite side i believe),

I could probably build the bellhousing for you, i have a couple of spare 5 speed ones, and some 3 speed gearboxes,
