Power windows, air con fan & wipers not working?
Driving hubby's XR6 2003 BA. Just this arvo while waiting at school put windows down turned car off and sat and waited for the bell. Kids came turned car on and Put Windows up. Tried to turn air con fan on nothing, then tried to put windows down nothing. Drive the shirt distance home. When I restarted car they all worked but then stopped. Under the bonnet was to hot to check fuses. Let it sit there had to go I to town (5 min drive) it all semmed to work again - windows, air con fan & wipers. Just before I got home they all stopped again. Have tried once more windows work at first then no longer and no wipers or air con fan. Called local auto electrician he has never heard of this problem before but thought it may be electrical. Quick search on here comes up with smartlock issues, BEM, ICC, or ignition issues. My problem is not identical to those as I still have interior lights, power seats, radio and lcd display works. Still got tacho readings. Still got central locking and car starts no worries?? Can anyone please help? Like to have this fixed before hubby home next few days. Thanks in advance |

Maybe a dodgy relay or a self resetting circuit breaker acting up?
It's not a fuse... They blow and that's it... Failing that try and extract codes from the BEM and see if has logged a fault... Maybe there is a hard fault and is fine on start up and then it realises the fault and shuts part of the system down... May give you some direction... Cheers, Tim

I have this exact problem with my 07 Bf Mk2.
Did you have any luck finding out what was causing it? I wasn't convinced it was the ignition. Any info you can pass on would be great Cheers. |
