Have you tried tightening up the shock mounts? - The rear shocks in Particular on Falcons often need to be tightened to "VFT" or they will creak and knock

mate im a diesel mechanic, everything I tighten up is VFT! lol

Thanks, I'll try that.

I don't think it's the exhaust knocking against the diff, there's quite a bit of clearance there and no obvious marks of wear / rubbing.

Nah, sadly had the sell the EA when I got sick and money got tight. Still gutted that I let it go - too cheap too!

I told the new owner about it but he wasn't worried - just keen to give me his cash and get away before I changed my mind.
