Hi all. I believe the heater shaft is broken in my ba, just wondering if there is anybody on the north of Brisbane who has replaced one. What kind of money am I looking at to have it repaired? I now have the replacement part but I'm not confident about dropping the dash myself. Cheers

expensive to replace my Ford dealer said not worth it as I can still use one side of the duel zone

I have a BA Ford Fairmont

It is a full dash out job and can take up and over 8 hours some for the first time have taken several days

It is real pain if you live in a area like the Snowys where you get some really cold weather but I live in the outback and use air con most of the time

Ford should have had a total recall but the expense would have been massive
