How did you go Steve |

Not so well.
Firstly, I mounted the box in the wrong spot and burst a strut for the bonnet, and secondly, I don't seem to be having any luck. Will get stuck into it again today and see how we go. Brett

Well,
there is no pink dark blue wire on the right hand plug of my Cluster. Its an EL GLI. Also, Pin 7 is Yellow Green, and even when I spliced into it, no joy. I have grounded the Auto Meter box to the body, no worries. I have cut the Thick white/red wire that supplies the coil positive, and spliced the box in place there. Lastly I have run the grey wire to what corresponds to Pin 7 on the right had cluster and no luck at all. Starting to get a little p****d at this stage. Brett

All sorted. Turns out I was tapping into the injector power wire, once I discovered that it was back to the drawing board and locate the correct wire for the coils.
The Autometer device sure is easy when you choose the correct wires. Thanks for the help guys Brett

I have this bloody annoying ticking coming from ecu area ever since I did this conversion finally tracked it down today it was the purge solenoid for the charcoal cannister. So I disconnected it and presto no ticking. But obviously I would like this thing to work so what I need to know dows ticking solenoid mean stuffed solenoid or stuffed cannister. Also does solenoid need to be mounted any particular way to work properly? I would think not but you never know.
Cheers Steve |

Mine does the exact same thing. Ticking once it gets up to temperature. Not overly worried, but since fitting the TR6060 I have lost the speedo signal. Am thinking take a feed from the ABS and route that directly to the ECU.
Heres hoping. Brett

Im got it sorted extended ba loom so the solenoid would be in the same place as the el in front of left front wheel. Fot any pics of shifter location in car. Did you get box modified so shifter sits forward?
ba does get speedo signal from abs don't know if el abs signal is suitable you could run a commodore extension housing as these have spot for speedo sender unit. Cheers Steve |

No pics, But lets just say, its going to be a challenge to put a boot around it. The console had to be cut all the way back to the PW switch base toget 4th and 6th gears.
Will update when I get onto it Brett
