I started using less fuel and throttle response is much nicer. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VfynoxL2RZI this video will show you ev1 injectors compared to ev6. The ev6 have a much better spray pattern and flow slightly better. Both E series and AU Injectors ar EV6. EV1 and EV6 have different plug connections. Sorry, should read E series and AU are EV1 connection. |

Ah I was told it was the pin difference. What I mean is I was told ev1 were single pin like the e series and ev6 were 4 pin like the au ones.

Au's have a 4 jet ev6 injector and ea-el's have a single jet ev1 injector with a pintle cap. Both have a ev1 type connector though.[/quote]
This is what I was told |

I lost power going to AU injectors because they made it run richer
RED line is the EL and Blue is the AU injectors download/file.php?id=31077&mode=view

I cant remember that was years ago. I think it did run smoother but it did lose some power. Have used BA injectors and have 36lb injectors now

The au and ef/l injectors are a high resistance injector. The au injector has a little bit more flow than the ef/l injector. The reason the au injector is better than the ef/l injector is the spray pattern. It sprays finer and wider which mixes with the air better. They don't get as hot as the ef/l injector as well.
I make 150rwkw with the au injectors and have no issues. Other people make more power with the au injector as well. I am running a 300kpa fuel pressure regulator on my engine. The au injector can handle up to 200rwkw NA engines according to some tuners. The only reason you will need bigger injectors if you go forced induction.

I ran both injectors on a pretty decent build motor, I noticed NO difference. There was no power difference, there was no ¼ mi. difference.
It was fine on fuel either way. The car made 186rwkw, so it was no slouch.

I under stand where your coming from. I am an auto electrician/fuel injection specialist. I have flowed these injectors side by side. In theory the au injector will atomize with air better due to its spray pattern. That's all the difference is between them. What every one doesn't understand is it will not make more power providing you don't have any problems to start off with. Your engine might run smoother if anything. Over fueling your engine is no good. It washes the bores down which will hurt your rings. My professional opinion is if you had to choose from the e series injector or the au injector. The au injector is my choice hands down.

Well, i ended up buying a set of reco E series injectors because with all the mixed opinions i wanted to be safe. BIG MISTAKE! yes they fixed my rough idle but the ones i was sent must have failed their leak down test. Leave the car sit 4-5 hours and it takes 3-4 attempts to start then runs rough as guts for a few seconds. Old injectors it would start within 1-2 seconds every time. So today its out with the new ones and in with the old ones to test that it is the injectors and not something else that coincidentally broke at the same time as replacing the injectors. If its the new injectors that are at fault i will buy AU ones this time.

Buy AU injectors. You won't be disappointed.. See already wasted money on the reco ones.

just buy genuine ones, not the cheap new ones on ebay, as people have had issues with them

The ones i bought were genuine reco. I phoned the guy and he said he was happy to take them back and re clean them and leak test them etc then post them back. I'm sort of in two minds about it though, how could have they not shown up faulty on the leak test the first time? when i pulled them out yesterday 2 of them were soaked in fuel and had loose pintle caps.
