Hi all, been looking for some info on swapping extention housings from my xg auto to the ba auto so I have speedo drive, can anyone tell me how to go about it or if there are any previous threads on this, I still need to get a gasket and seal kit which includes a shim (Drive T p/n RIK40085), I have a extention housing oil seal and could make a paper gasket but im a bit worried about not having the shim(or where it goes),so if anyone could help with any information I would be very grateful, cheers, Johnny.
p.s this is for a n/a barra conversion In a xg ute

Ok so extention housing swap turns out to be easier than I thought, got both the XG & BA housings off and all good, the shaft even has the hole ready to receive the speedo cog drive, simply press in the clip and slide gear off with the clip and slid back on the BA shaft till the clip seats in the hole and it's ready for the XG extention housing to go back on with a new housing seal and in my case a new brass bush which I'll get done tomorrow.

Ok so got the extension housing back from the transmission shop with a new bush and seal and got a new gasket and speedo sender (from Ford) as the old one was getting a bit brittle-still works so I'll keep as a spare.
