Hi, I have a 98 Ford AU Series 1 Forte the problem is the window in the drivers door has broken so many times that it is now beyond repair and also someone hit the car which damaged the door panel, so we thought just replace the complete door with window and all, but as my car is none electric windows and the only door that my husband could find has an electric window and no dents
Just now we have told we cant use , is this information correct or can we fir it and is there ant special requirements.. |

which do you want to do?
either way my understanding is it's not hard, just fiddly. the 'winder' it's self needs to be removed & fitted, but check the winder frame [if converting to manual] to make sure it hasn't been bent. doors are the same i believe |

I converted my au 1 from manual to electric window regulators. I used a 2 way switch from jaycar rated at 12v 10 amps, I also used a polyswitch to "regulate" current going to the motor. If you want I could post a picture.
