G'day there cobbers!
I have just joined your forum here, to see if anyone can advise me on the dash gauges conversion I am trying to perform. I have an AU SR3 6 Cylinder Auto, and I have purchased and fitted the instrument cluster from a 2002 AU Tickford Ghia V8 to it. Now I have read Matty's fine technical article on the subject, but unfortunately it did not cover the latter 2002 series 3 models. Does anyone on here know what wires I need to switch around (if any) to get this late xr cluster to work correctly on my SR3? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Seasons Greetings and best regards to all the members here! |

Series 2 and Series 3 are pretty much the same electrically.
It should just be the wires listed in the tech doc for the right blinker and dash lights.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around! |

Don't bother buying a Oil Pressure Sender as the Oil Gauge in the series II/III use a Oil swith. The gauge doesn't register the oil pressure of the engine. The gausge is Series II/III is just like the idiot light.

Wow! I'm Gobsmacked! Such lightning fast reply's and I thought I would have to wait weeks for a reply! Nice work and thanks guys!
I will give that a try. Now Matt. Can you advise me on the best way to re shuffle the wires on the small connector block, and how do I loosen them from it? Also when you mention the Left connector, is that the one when looking at the cluster head on? |
