Hi can someone please tell me the voltages I should be getting pre and post 3800 rpm on the two pin connector as it is reading 12-14 v at idle and falling to 11v after 3800.
It's on an EF and the vacuum isn't switching to allow the bbm to work. Thanks |

the red power wire should have constant voltage with engine running, the green wire is a negative trigger from ecu, this is what switches the solenoid on and off.

Thanks for the reply.
I think mine has had it, doesn't allow vacuum flow through. Does anyone know if the EF one is the same as the BA one in case my local wrecker doesnt have an EF/EL. Thanks |

vacuum don't flow through it until its triggered "off" by the ecu, at idle the solenoid is active holding vacuum in the diaphragm (blocked)..
at 3800rpm under engine load the ecu cuts power via earth trigger deactivating the solenoid (open) to release vacuum via diaphragm if its a case of it don't work you can use a solenoid from ef.el,au and pretty sure ba and bf... |

Yeah thanks I meant it doesnt open to allow the vacuum through at all, even after 3800 rpm.
Will try and get one on Monday. |
