So i've got an 1974 XB with no aircon. Its got a 5 litre and 4 speed auto out of a 98 Fairlane in it along with the entire wiring harness and most of the electrics (central locking, gauges, steering column, etc).

I can hook up the original Fairlane compressor as that will bolt straight on but is that compatible if I install an original evaporator unit within the car or should I install the Fairlane evaporator and fabricate the vents and drain to suite?

Any advice would be much appreciated.
