I've noticed some arcing from No 2 ignition lead and arcing towards rocker cover. Would this be from a faulty or deteriorating ignition lead?
I've taken out the spark plug, it looks ok , a bit white / grey on the centre electrode. Spark plugs are a Bosch Platinum type....I gave all the spark plugs a clean up using a bench grinder wire brush. I've stripped away the centre electrode coating (I tried to avoid that). I assume they can be chucked away and replaced, or can they be reused? Question. Would a bad ignition lead cause the Knock Sensor to play up? Any info on the above is welcomed. Cheers |

Update,
Seems like the knock sensor does just that, sends error codes when one has faulty ignition cables. Replaced ignition coil, replaced spark plugs, replaced ignition leads. Removed and cleaned knock sensor, replaced same. Run engine, running smoothly, done a diagnostic scan using Forscan, no error codes reported. All good |
