Cheers for all the replies fellas. I'll get the wheels balanced tomorrow for the vibrations and will also check the plugs and leads for rough idle.

Was reading something online just before that says if the balancer is buggered it would vibrate all through the rev ranges...idle right up to giving it a kick in the guts. Mine doesn't vibrate at all apart from occasionally doing 100 clicks on the highway.
Was also reading that another test is to take the belt off the balancer and see if it moves in 2 pieces.

when the one on the AU wagoon went, i was able to turn the balancer using the belt [when i tried to fit said belt lol ]
