Hi all, first time poster here so hopefully I'm in the right forum!
I replaced my factory tail lights today with Mars Performance Altezza LEDs (I know, most people hate them). I think they look great. They came with halogen indicator bulbs but no reverse bulbs, so I re-used my original ones. All appeared to be working fine. However. I noticed tonight that I don't have brake lights! When the lights are on at night, the LEDs stay on all the time (as expected), however when I brake, only the parcel shelf brake light activates.. Is the issue that I've used my old reverse bulbs? Could they be a different wattage or something trivial like that? Or is there some other issue I'm unaware of? http://marsperformance.com.au/Black-LED ... A-BF-Sedan Hope you can help, I'm a rookie and I'm stumped! Joe. |

are the lights hooked up properly? check with a multimeter or known good globe & make sure you have power at light socket

Have you contacted the supplier concerning the issue?

Have you checked your brake light fuse? They're cheap made in china... Possible they failed and caused the fuse to blow... Especially if they were working when installed... Don't visually check fuses either, only with a multimeter...
Cheers, Tim

I'm almost too ashamed to post this! This is a prime example of a rookie mistake... Turns out they actually work perfectly. The LEDs are the brake & tail lights, they just burn brighter when you brake.
..Let's forget this ever happened! |
